Thursday night was Shyanne's birthday. It was also the night that Joon's brother wanted to come out (he's in Korea because his wife's sister is getting married), so everyone just had one big meetup at Gold Bar. We were literally the only ones there, but we took up most of the place.

It just so happened to be another teacher from Bundang who came up to Seoul's birthday too, so her and Shyanne got free shots from the bar.
This was one of Joon's brother's wife's friends.. she didn't speak much English but she was definitely the funnest of the crew.
After work last Friday we all went as a branch to get a beer just around the corner. The girl in the front left is Rene's wife Melanie. She used to teach at DYB, then went to law school, and is now back.
For my birthday Cecily got me a Naruto t-shirt! It came in the mail this week and was such a great surprise. All the students loved it.
I bought a basil plant at the won (dollar) store and it started to grow! I can't wait til its big enough to start eating.
This week at cooking class we made tandoori chicken and some kind of Indian rice. The chicken ended up being super salty, but the rice was amazing!
