Not much happened this week. I finally got my Alien Resident Card, so I could get a bank account and be an official alien. I took an hour and a half subway ride out to the middle of nowhere to the immigration office that was on my receipt. However, I found out I was in the total wrong office. Oh well.. I saw this strange fountain celebrating large women!
I made sauce for after the 5k race
However, we never made it to the race :( The night before everyone cancelled on us! They said it was going to be too cold and raining. The person who was supposed to drive us also cancelled, and since me and Ben didn't want to take a $40 taxi or a 2 hour subway ride, we didn't go either. This is what we did instead! We went to a pub for lunch and had some Guinness.
We drank enough Guinness to get these free Halloween special gifts! Its a Guinness change collector thing, a Guinness glass and a towel. The glass is pretty cool but everything else is pretty useless.
Later that night we ate the sauce at Suzie's and drank some wine. It was an overall pretty slow week.. not too much happened. Ben and I are going to attempt a 5 hour 10k hike next weekend, so hopefully that will be interesting!
